About Siska Lyssens
I’m a creative and strategic communicator and design journalist. While doing deep research and making relevant cultural connections, I ask the right questions to detangle complex meanings and work to align messaging with business goals.
In the last 14 years, I’ve crafted editorial content related to architecture, art, design, fashion, travel and lifestyle. My work has been published in a wide array of magazines and digital media, from Dazed & Confused and AnOther Magazine to the seminal Vogue platform Style.com, The Spaces, Bon, Rika Magazine, Business of Fashion, The New York Times’ T Magazine, and Wallpaper*.
As a creative content writer, I deliver high-impact work for leading brands, including Apple, Barefoot Luxury, Bernadette, Christian Wijnants, Christie’s, Eurostar Magazine, Fosbury & Sons, JW Anderson, Komono, Knoll, La Garçonne, Mandarina Duck, Orior, Rosewood Hotels, The Skateroom, Serax, Soho House and Suite 07.
In my work as a journalist, I’ve interviewed countless creatives: David Adjaye, Constantin Brodzki, Joe and Charlie Casely-Hayford, Demna Gvasalia, Jeanne Gang, Stephen Jones, Quentin Jones, Jan Fabre, Xavier Lust, Sabine Marcelis, Peter Marino, Angela Missoni, Paola Navone, Dries van Noten, Stéphane Parmentier, Étienne Russo, Glenn Sestig, Luc Tuymans, Vincent van Duysen, Walter Van Beirendonck, Axel Vervoordt, and others.
I’ve contributed to three coffee-table books: an essay on Belgian fashion for ‘The Belgians: An Unexpected Fashion Story’, a foreword to the photography book ‘Athos Burez: Barok Buraz at MAS Antwerpen’, and long-read interviews with two chefs for ‘Tap to Table’, a culinary book by Grohe. Forthcoming: Chanel Illustrated, a selection of contemporary illustrations inspired by the iconic fashion house Chanel. Authorized by the brand, authored by me and to be published by Lannoo Publishers in Fall 2025.
